However, Uzumaki Naruto is not without weaknesses. In fact, he has many weaknesses that limit his abilities on the battlefield, some of which will affect him as time passes.

Too Soft At Times :- Uzumaki Naruto is often considered too kind. Sometimes it helps him get in touch with bad guys and get them back on the right path, but sometimes it can prove to be very harmful not only to himself but also to others in the shinobi world. Naruto has forgiven people on several occasions who could have easily made things worse for various civilians. Even Uchiha Sasuke, Naruto's best friend, believes that he is sometimes too kind, which can be quite a hindrance in a fight.

Too Forgiving :- Uzumaki Naruto is too generous, which sometimes becomes his fault. When Naruto fought Uchiha Obito, he saved his life and gave Uchiha Madara the opportunity to become the perfect Jinchuriki of the Ten Tails. This ultimately led to the resurrection of Otsutsuki Kaguya, putting the world in grave danger. When he fought Delta, he saved Carla's life because he thought he was interrogating her about her motives, but Delta self-destructed seconds later. On another day, Naruto's children could well have lost their lives because of this mistake.

No Tactics :- On the battlefield, Naruto is rather reckless and doesn't think twice before fighting head on. It was one of his traits from the beginning of the story, but it became even more evident as the years went by. Most of Naruto's strategies in battle revolve around him using all his strength and doing his best to defeat his opponents using the different variations of Rasengan he has up his sleeve. However, in some cases tactics can ensure his safety against a stronger opponent. When Naruto fought Jigen, it's entirely possible that he would have mocked him and killed himself even if he had lost. Kurama advised him to wait first, as otherwise Naruto would definitely have found himself in trouble.

Lack Of Ninjutsu Diversity :- It is not surprising that Naruto is not the most skilled when it comes to ninjutsu. In most fights, he only uses two jutsu: the Shadow Clone Jutsu and the Rasengan. He also uses the Rasenshuken occasionally, but that is usually the only part of his ninjutsu arsenal. Naruto learned many other jutsu as an adult, but never used them in combat. This lack of variety is certainly one of its major weaknesses. Anyone who has studied his fighting style can easily exploit this weakness to their advantage.

No Skills In Genjutsu :- Naruto may not be all that versatile in the art of ninjutsu, but his skill with genjutsu is non-existent. Despite being an incredible ninja, hailed as the strongest of all time, he is unable to use even the simplest genjutsu. As Uchiha Sasuke has shown many times, genjutsu is key to many fights, but Naruto's over-reliance on ninjutsu and taijutsu makes him very predictable.
